Safety Center

Afrobase is designed for meaningful connections, and your safety comes first. Use these guidelines to stay protected online and offline.

1. Meet in public first

Choose busy, well-lit places for first meetings. Tell a trusted friend where you are going and consider sharing your location.

2. Protect your personal information

Avoid sharing sensitive details early on, including your home address, financial information, or workplace access.

3. Report or block concerns

If someone makes you uncomfortable, report them from their profile or conversation. We review all reports within 24 hours. Violations of our community guidelines will result in immediate suspension. Blocking removes them from your discovery and messages.

4. Watch for scams

Be wary of anyone asking for money, gift cards, or claiming an urgent crisis. Never send money to someone you haven't met in person. Report any suspicious behavior immediately.

5. In case of emergency

If you are in immediate danger, contact local emergency services. Our support team can assist with account investigations afterward.

6. Dating Safety Defaults

We encourage video calls before meeting. Consider keeping your phone number private until you've established trust.
